Our brains are tricksters.
We may think to ourselves, “It’s time, I have to quit NOW” and then our brain gets sneaky and says things like: “Now’s not the time to find a new job” “It isn’t that bad” “What if the next job is just as bad…” “I should stay because I should be grateful” So you stay. I get it because I 100% used ALL those reasons to keep me stuck. Which is why I wanted to walk you through some actual signs that it’s time to quit, it’s the whole purpose of this week’s YouTube training. These are signs that I’ve experienced personally and that I have seen over my 5 years of coaching. Let me know in the comments if you have any of those (or another) signs!

I definitely felt weird growing up.
I wanted to spend a lot of time by myself, my mental health needed it in fact. It wasn’t normal to want and need this. At least that was the message that was spread far and wide because extroversion is touted as the ideal. Even if that’s not the word that’s used, the underlying message is that we should desire to spent lots of time with other people, our schooling and workplaces tend to be designed for extroverts. It leaves many of us introverts feeling like there’s something wrong with us, that we need to be more like those extroverts. It may leave you feeling like your introversion is your greatest weakness. IT IS NOT. I 100%, with every fiber of my being, believe that your introversion is your greatest strength, your superpower even. And in this week’s YouTube training I’m going to show you all the reasons why. If you’re introvert - it’s a must watch. If you’re an extrovert who is a leader - I also think it’s a must watch! When you think networking, probably what comes to mind is:
😨 networking events 😨 emails telling people you’re looking for a new job 😱 emails to people you don’t know While there’s some truth to the above, there’s way more to it than those specific things. In fact, there are so many different ways to network that it becomes easy to create a networking strategy that even you can be excited about. Ways that I’m going to teach you in this week’s YouTube training - How to Create an Effective Networking Strategy. Watch it here. |
